Alan Fitzpatrick ?Shadows In The Dark?

Der britische DJ und Produzent Alan Fitzpatrick veröffentlicht im Juli sein Debütalbum ?Shadows In The Dark? auf Adam Beyers Label Drumcode. Mit seinen 12?es wie ?Reflections?, ?Face Of Rejection? oder ?Static / Rubix?, die sich alle zwischen Techno und Hardhouse bewegen, hat er sich vor allem im letzten Jahr ins Rampenlicht katapultiert und ist damit in Plattentaschen von Kollegen wie Len Faki, John Digweed, Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli oder Adam Beyer gelandet.

1702 ? This is the exact time that the album was finally finished, so I thought to would make a cool name for the intro track to the album.
Mouthwash ? I thought the percussion and groove on this track was really refreshing, just like Mouthwash; and i had a lot fun with arranging this track
Kiwi ? Named after a club in Lithuania that i really love. I wanted to do something quite groovy that captured the way i feel when i?m in Kiwi Club.
Two Times Dead ? I did vocals on this track and wanted to give it a percussive tribal feel. I had a laugh in the studio using the vocoder FX on this. ;-)
A Small Decline ? This track got its name due to the snow nightmare that swept through the UK earlier in the year, as it took me 7 hours to drive to the studio, which is usually a 30 minute drive.
Xerrox Structure ? Groove, Groove, Groove, Layer?s, Groove? Layer. I?ll let you make sense of that.
Blocked Up ? I Wrote the most part of this track with a blocked ear drum, needless to say, I re-mixed it down once my ear healed ;-)
Paranoize ? A Trippy track, I wanted to do something with huge bass and I am happy with how this came out.
Alpha Scanner ? basically means ?Baby Boy Scan?, and yes? shortly after, my son was born.
They Can?t Defeat Us ? Doing an album gave me the ability to experiment and different stuff to a classic fitzpatrick sound, so i did something with a Detroit feel, and we all love the piano! ;-)
Bird Talk ? A deep track with big pads. The name of the track was inspired by Family Guy?. ?Have you heard about the bird? haha!
Shadows In The Dark ? I wanted a track that would sit right for closing an album, with emotion and strong melody. I think I did that with this track. Its my favourite on the album and also the title track.
