Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
René Pawlowitz is Berlin-based, returning artist Shed, one of techno’s most respected DJs/producers, who re-released his first two Shed albums, 2008’s Shedding The Past and 2010’s The Traveller, on vinyl in 2018, this time on his own The Final Experiment label, which was also the name of his last album released on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown. Shed is also affiliated with the 50Weapons and Ostgut Ton labels. With a definite inspiration from the early 90s rave sound, his sets have thrilled clubbers on his many international tours. We are pleased to welcome back French techno creator and frequent guest artist DJ Deep to the Tresor decks. DJ Deep is a techno and house producer and DJ. Since 2003 he runs the Deeply Rooted label, formerly Deeply Rooted House, and House Music Records, shining a spotlight on true-to-its roots house and techno records. A reformat in 2015 and DJ Deep’s latest evolution in expression sees him join forces with Roman Poncet as Sergie Rezza, an open-minded experimentation with a standout album on Desire Records and performances including Berlin Atonal. Twenty years in, from house to techno and everything in between, DJ Deep has immersed himself in the ebb and flows of music, be it NY, Chicago, Detroit or today’s current pulsating waves. Solid support comes from Tresor resident Mischa, a product of shifting technological landscapes. Nurtured by computerized machine music through radio waves from the hardcore continuum, he has developed a distinctly futurist vision for uncompromising techno music. Born in Berlin, Mischa inevitably found the legendary Hard Wax as a main educator in taste, and has worked there since 2010. In Globus: Ron Maney also known as DJ Skull hails from the Southside of Chicago, IL USA. DJ Skull can be counted as one of the strongest identities fronting the vanguard sound of Chicago’s underground. The quintessential producer, he is in full command of his craft and the identity of his music. He has managed to seamlessly weave the House & Techno genres; from his signature bass lines to the uniquely warm & soulful production, DJ Skull has proven to be an indispensable part of the music industry. In addition to launching the label Hypnotic Tones in 2004, he also launched Wax Candy Records in 2010 on which the original Chi-Life E.P. and subsequent album, Chi-Life: Live Project, was released. Thundering a sound that reinterprets the musical tropes of his Chi-Wax releases, Djax bombs, and funk semantics heard elsewhere (Sect, Mentha, Majestic), DJ Skull brings 30 years of experience in a deep-rooted knowledge and command to the live realm. We welcome back Sven von Thülen to Globus decks, DJ and co-author with Felix Denk of “Klang der Familie”, the definitive oral history of the German capital’s techno culture – his turntable talent is ever so evident, as he has shown in past sets in our club and tonight will certainly be no exception. Frequent Tresor Club guest Wittes of Deep Fried fame, returns to the Globus decks to add his selektor talents to the roster tonight.
