Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Holland in the house tonight! PIP is the best known underground venue in The Hague. The Kulturpodium is located in the industrial area behind the central station of The Hague and is known for its surprising club nights. PIP has become the only medium-sized podium in The Hague in recent years, where both local and national aspirants can excel. Tonight we welcome some of the venue’s regulars: Unit Mobius are the godfathers of the Hague’s industrial techno/planet rock scene, evolved gradually from deep alienating lo-fi acid house and crazy rigid jack trax (mixing the best of the detroit and chicago styles) to hard pounding dark industrial techno, freaky techno funk pop and mean minimalistic machine music; DJ Overdose & Technician were much talked about in 2016 after the release of their Charlois09 EP, with the much lauded Overdose bringing Technician’s clout back to the foreground; Jeans (Gino van Dam) b2b with Andre Agressi (Andrew van Velthoven), who is the top digger, top selector, top DJ and top programmer for PIP Den Haag; and Berlin-based Axiom, whose experimental sounds became the gravitational point of his musical interests. In 2006 he launched with Huron, the Creative Commons based netlabel Crazy Language for contemporary electronic music such as Ambient, IDM, Electronica, Glitch, Experimental etc. which accumulated 50 releases so far, also audio/visual releases are to find there. Downstairs in Tresor: continuing in the Netherlands direction, Guy Blanken aka Talisman has released his proper, no-nonsense techno on his own label since 2012. After having gigged under his moniker Manken, in 2012 he introduced his live alias Talismann representing the harder and darker side of techno. After holding down a residency at legendary club Trouw, Guy now considers the Amsterdam club De School and the internationally known Dekmantel Festival his home. Both Makam and Talismann have also shared their infectious vision of electronic music in some of the most respected clubs and festivals in the world. Olivier Abbeloos is active as DJ, producer, composer and remixer. He shot to fame in the early 90’s producing classics such as T99’s ‘Anasthasia’ together with Patrick De Meyer & rapper Zeno and Quadrophonia’s ‘Quadrophonia’ together with Lucien Foort. With Quadrophonia he released the album “Cozmic Jam” including the rave anthem Quadrophonia. No small feat. Olivier also produced Technotronic’s second album and he runs his own labels Holographic / IG Recording, labels based in Belgium. Over the past 20 years, he has developed a typical sound that is like no other in the house scene. Olivier Abbeloos produces several projects under a slew of names, and his hot and spicy sequences have appeared on a lot of mix compilations (Armada, Moby, Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound…). From Rotterdam, Falhaber is a young producer and founder of Massacre who’s obsessed with hard pounding sounds and brutal distortions. Falhaber delivers an aggressive and powerful sound with an interesting build up and overwhelming breakdowns to keep the dancefloor going. His sets include interesting build ups and overwhelming breakdowns composed with Ambient, Electro, Breakbeat, Techno, Industrial, Rave, Early Trance & Hardcore. All these elements are perfectly brought together to take over the dancefloor and get the audience going until the sun rises and beyond.
