Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
We welcome back Parisian Francois X who has steadily established himself as a DJ, producer and label owner unwilling to compromise on matters of quality. Also co-founder of record label and production company Dement3d, it is responsible for some of the most celebrated underground techno parties in Paris, hosting the unique appearances of Sandwell District, Surgeon, Schackleton and Planetary Assault Systems. A true maverick of the genre, 2017 marked François X’s debut album ‘Irregular Passion’ landing on DEMENT3D.Darko Esser aka Tripeo settles on the crossing borders between house & techno, don’t be surprised if he takes a sideway into broken beat, dubstep, electronics or the indescribable. With a discography of over 30 releases, including international clubhits like ‘Paradox’ (Underwater), ‘Catatonic’ (Ovum) and ‘The Return’ on his own Wolfskuil imprint, Tripeo has established a solid reputation in the producer department ever since his first records came out in 2003. Returning artist Len Ander Som is a Rotterdam-based underground dance music DJ, recording music since 2012 under his alias Lenson, and responsible for Paling Trax since 2015. Playing a broad mixture of Chicago House and Detroit Techno with lots of raw acid 90’s cuts and adding EBM, Wave, Electro and Industrial excursions, his vision definitely doesn’t have a linear perspective in his DJ sets. As a vinyl purist, gear scientist and general purveyor of all forms of hardware, Lenson is ready to shake some dancefloors all over, watch out. In Globus: our friend and label artist, the legendary Daniel Bell returns to the decks: with his timeless releases “Losing Control” on his own Accelerate label as DBX, and “The Button Down Mind Of Daniel Bell” on Tresor Records, Daniel Bell solidified his place in musical history. His signature minimalist house grooves ignited a genre that has pervaded the club music scene to the present day. Back in 1993, Bell had formed his “mother label” Accelerate, which concentrated on DBX’s stripped-back hybrid of hard-wired house and metallic technoid clanging, as well as 7th City, a more stylistically open platform for his and label partner Claude Young’s various electronic experiments. But it was in 1994 that Bell’s amalgamation of Chicago grooves, Detroit abstraction and European robotics really found its stride, in the form of DBX’s stone-cold classic, ‘Losing Control’. For the last 12 years, Berlin-born Janina developed an impressive sharp ear, technical skills, an asserted signature, despite continuously evolving music tastes. Playing regularly in the best clubs in Berlin and in European capitals, Janina is now playing twice a month as a resident of Monasterio Club in Moscow. Tresor Club resident Handmade‘s DJing is perfectly tuned to the Globus Floor’s wavelength: oscillating between house and techno styles, the dancing crowd in a firm grip, driven to fill the dancefloor. An integral part of the Tresor resident team since 2009, Handmade earned his stripes in the rocky terrain of the Berlin nightlife. Little by little he developed his pumping original mix of superior and timeless dance styles that have particularly influenced his experience. Handmade’s explosive trademark DJ style: deep and dubby-grounded á la Detroit, with the jacking stabs of Chicago influences and occasional deviations into tougher or soulful soundscapes.
