Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Laurent Prot is In Aeternam Vale, created in Lyon in 1983 under the heavy influence of punk-rock nihilism, Kraftwerk roboticism and cold, aggressive industrialism. Bridging EBM, proto-techno and synthesised dark pop, Laurent Prot was making fearless music in the 80s being recently reinterpreted (by the likes of Silent Servant, Regis and James Ruskin) as equally or more important than Detroit’s influence on the current electronic music landscape. Samuel Kerridge’s Contort Records released IAV’s memorable live at Berlin Atonal in Sept 2014. Inga Mauer comes from St. Petersburg, Russia where she is a resident DJ in the famous club Stackenschneider, and she is now gaining attention in Europe. The music she serves up comes from a place of love and knowledge in equal measures – no cheap thrills, just pure musical joy. Her seductive sound is a a mix of blistering atmospheres and dark emotions, flirting with a wide range of genres like Industrial Techno, EBM, and New Wave. Not only a great DJ, Inga Mauer is also a truly restless producer, constantly recording lunatic jams and wild rhythms in a world of no musical compromises. Hailing from Lasi, second city of Romania, Andrew Red Hand is a self-taught DJ, producer, uncompromising warrior of the underground, ”the Romanian Detroit electro / techno pioneer” (Igloo Magazine). With frequent comparisons to Detroit, Andrew Red Hand‘s musical productions fuse together the soul of his native town Iasi, known as ”the spiritual capital of Romania” with the futuristic electro, techno, techno-bass, acid house, being characterized, in fact, by his country’s free, no compromise exploration of electronic music. Having remixed for Underground Resistance, for their Radio UR and a mix for Detroit Techno Militia’s radio show, Andrew Red Hand is a force to be watched. Forest Drive West is a new producer from London, whose sound neatly, often edgily, cuts across the hardkore junglisms of the UK capital, Bristol’s low-end hauswerk, and the permanent 4/4 throb of Berlin. Among others, Andrew Red Hand has worked with south London’s finest, Rupture – wrecking heads, moving dancefloors, and, just maybe, keeping the continuum creeping forwards in the process. Being a hip hop-dancer since the age of ten, Dario Scarano alias Kuno got into DJing at the age of sixteen and started producing music himself at the very young age of 18. Having started with mostly UK-bass music, he is now a badass DJ with a very distinctive style somewhere between acid, techno & electro. In the +4Bar: we welcome back Evan Baggs since his last Tresor Club set last August, the born and bred New Yorker is Berlin-based, and has gained a reputation through his sheer passion, clever track selections and precise mixing. Through word of mouth – and years before his first releases – Evan Baggs has been invited to DJ for crowds all over the world from Brazil to China and many places in between. His DJ sets are as exciting and diverse as his hometown and have gained him compliments from many international DJ’s and producers, who recognize him as a legitimate up-and-coming talent. Returning UK artist DJ Quest is a name synonymous with all things breakbeat. Since first getting into the music in early 2000, Quest has been instrumental in shaping the heavier, more club-oriented style of breaks. Starting with his first label Pulse Recordings, he alongside like minded artists at the time such as Stanton Warriors, Blowfelt, Zinc and Deekline helped shape the sound to what it is known as today. He set up Cyberfunk with DJ Mutiny in 2002, a Nu-Skool Breaks, Drum and Bass and Garage label. Quest has collaborated with numerous dynamic artist and has had tracks and remixes on labels such as, Supercharged, Botchit, Against the Grain, Lot 49, Combat Wax, Functional and many many more. We also welcome back frequent Tresor Club guest Alex Barroso aka Alex Cliché, Berlin DJ and producer who time after time delivers a terrific set of dancefloor electronica styled with precision.
