Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
A big up welcome back to our friends at Xenogears, house duo whose whose raw, hardware-driven Italian “Lost Artemis” longplayer was a 2014 killer. Restoration founders Marieu and Lucretio (you may know them by their alias Analogue Cops, as they have often appeared in Tresor) give it up tonight again as Xenogears with a live set of their signature mix of tough techno – with thrilling loops, funky bits and even breakbeat infused – for the modern listener and the futuristic seeker. Rebecca Goldberg: inspired by Detroit’s State Theatre’s legendary “Club X” and by Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale, the Godmother of House Music, who was reigning over the airwaves, it was only a matter of time before Rebecca would satiate her musical appetite as a disc jockey. Rebecca is now a seasoned radio DJ, having mixed on Detroit public radio station WDET 101.9’s Sunday Sessions show, 89.3 WHFR out of Dearborn, as well as various internet radio stations hosted in Detroit and worldwide. She holds down a few residencies for area dance nights and just released her second EP of 2016 under the moniker 313 Acid Queen. In January, Rebecca released “A Trip to the Moon” an EP arranged to accompany Georges Méliès’ classic 1902 silent film “Le Voyage Dans La Lune.” Frequent guest and Buttons resident, Berlin-based Madalba of Femme Fraktale will be sharing the decks. In September 2011, Madalba moved to Detroit where she started the collaboration with DJ Seoul and Tom Linder of Detroit Techno Militia. This travel has definitely and radically changed her approach to the techno concept, which she considers more a political and social phenomenon and a lifestyle than just a musical genre. Aside from all this, she launched her own record label “Future Déjà Vu”. In Globus: Snuff Crew is a mysterious collective from Germany, founded in 2008. This year sees a decade of their pursuit of terrific house sounds, as they terrifically celebrated in our home last February. Their sound is mainly influenced by Chicago House, Acid and Oldschool Techno. Since the first 12″on Marco Passarani´s label Nature Records, they have released lots of records and remixes for various international artists on numerous top labels. Snuff Crew is also famous for really jacking live shows, playing at the finest clubs and festivals around the world. Jerome Hill runs the labels Don’t, Super Rhythm Trax & Fat Hop, presents a weekly radio show on London’s Kool FM and DJs regularly around the planet. DJing since 1990 beginning with Hip Hop, Acid House, Bleeps, Breakbeat and Techno, in 1994 he hooked up with infamous London sound system “JIBA” honing his scratching and mixing style for which he is now known. After long stints as manager of Trackheads & Dragon Discs record shops in Camden, London, Jerome Hill still strives to sniff out exciting new (and old) tracks to add to his sets while never paying attention to current trends. Timothy J Fairplay makes heavy slow-motion house music, jacking and chugging its way to sustained freak-outs. Often weaving his own productions into vintage Chicago tracks and dubby obscurities, his sets have a real drama and psychedelic sense of adventure to them. And this year’s “DX Marks The Spot” EP is a fully Electro, Italy Disco & Detroit Techno schooled, yet original & perfectly executed Electro / Techno EP.
