Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Returning to the Tresor decks is Takaaki Itoh, a Japanese techno producer, DJ and promoter who founded the acclaimed Wols label and endears his fan base with his ever-powerful, driving techno sets with a very modern approach. Since the late 90s Takaaki has released an impressive amount of quality recordings on top labels, touring the world playing his unique sound at top venues and festivals, and finding time to create his minimal production under the alias of Yarda. Idealism is the driving force behind all of Milton Bradley’s thoughts and moves – a fact especially prevalent in his musical output. With years of experience in Berlin’s electronic music scene, Bradley has built up a reputation as a decisive and forward-thinking artist with a versatile yet thriving sound. “Do Not Resist the Beat!” was the label he founded in 2008 and aside from much production work and touring worldwide, Bradley started a collaboration with Grounded Theory associate and good friend Henning Baer. To date they have released four highly acclaimed EPs presenting raw and effective quality techno. Milton Bradley has become one of the most promising producers within the genre, whose dystopian, industrial influenced and tripping sounds are also representative of his internationally acclaimed DJ sets. From Spain, artist Irazu started his career in 2010 as resident DJ and promoter of the Lumen et Umbra events with Svreca. In 2014 he started a new nights in Madrid Called ‘’Erszebet’’, taking care of the art, the music and the new artists of the scene, featuring many high-profiled artists, and in 2016 Irazu released his two first EPs in Soul Notes Label. In Globus returning to the decks is Gerard Hanson alias Convextion, an artist who has cultivated the epigones of the rich interface of Detroit techno and Berlin dubelektronik, a highly unique sound design, primarily distinguished by its incomprehensible beautiful subtlety. As a fiery child of the music industry his release cycle is very carefully distributed and on few labels – which incurs an all too positive effect on the quality of the tracks. So reasonable his discography, so passionate his admirers. Tonight Convextion delivers a terrific live performance in Globus. Also returning to Tresor Club is Clay Wilson, a 27-year-old Brooklyn-based producer, who began turning heads in 2013 with his mesmerizing debut on Styles Upon Styles. He quickly followed that release with two similarly psychedelic 12”s for The Bunker New York. Since then Clay Wilson has been a regular fixture on Bunker lineups both as a DJ and live act, and has performed in numerous label showcases throughout the US. Nazira is an Almaty-based DJ, host on Radio Cómeme, Resident at Room 4 Resistance (Berlin) as well as promoter within underground club scene in Kazakhstan. Between making waves for publications, Nazira has also established herself within the Almaty scene as a beacon for burgeoning DJs and performers with ZVUK, a DIY event series that makes its home wherever the vibe will take it. Moving forward, Nazira is only going to become more noticed for her tactful approach to DJing whilst effortlessly traveling between left-field techno, electro, acid and industrial with smiles all along the way. Ciel, born Cindy Li, is a producer, DJ, promoter, and radio programmer based out of Toronto, Canada. She currently runs two of the country’s most forward thinking party series (It’s Not U It’s Me and Work in Progress) and hosts a femme & queer – prioritizing radio show each month on n10.as. After making her Boiler Room debut with a heady & kinetic set last August in Toronto, Ciel has continued to make waves as one of the newest additions to Discwoman’s roster, touted by Mixmag, RA, Crack, and RBMA as one to watch, all of which followed her superb debut release on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs in 2017.
