Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Anthony Child aka Surgeon has been at the forefront of UK techno since 1994. His debut EP is regarded by many as seminal, launching his career along with several early Downwards releases, causing a ripple of excitement through the techno cognoscenti of the time. Surgeon has been prolific since, with three albums on Tresor and numerous Counterbalance and Dynamic Tension EPs as well as his ‘Breaking The Frame’ LP in 2011 Over the course of his career, the Birmingham resident has perfected a unique and uncommonly effective production style. His is a tough techno sound with an industrial murk about it but also plenty of funk, swing and a sophisticated sense of dub-space learned in part from his Chain Reaction contemporaries in Berlin. Contemporary Surgeon sets are notable for experimentation with new DJ technologies embracing cutting edge hardware and software solutions, increasingly blurring the line between a DJ set and a live performance. A techno legend. Highly influenced by Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Surgeon or the labels Synewave, Lost or Tresor, the Paris artist Zadig began by working at Matos DJ Store, the famous Bastille music store in the French capital which released his first album Dark Nebula in 2010. Zadig then started Construct Re-Form, a label on a human scale which was initially created to release his own productions – significant success had given him a solid basis to develop his own label. Construct Re-Form almost immediately welcomes 3 talented DJs known as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Zadig then becomes an astute label manager who provides technical advice and, perhaps most importantly, human support to his three protégés. Always the innovator and a maverick behind the decks, it’s a terrific experience. Artist Héctor Oaks was born in Madrid and now lives in Berlin. He is a young artist who is enjoying a lot of success both as a DJ and as a producer. Héctor Oaks continues to increase in recent years by releasing on diverse labels as well as his own Oaks imprint. Powerful, deep, raw and emotive, his style juxtaposes classic and soulful Detroit and Chicago sounds with Berlin’s modern, strong and gritty atmosphere, while simultaneously infusing his trademark of authentic and enthralling melodies. In Globus: Moritz von Oswald is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, mastering and cutting engineer at Dubplates & Mastering, (1995 – 2008), who has been at the cutting edge of German and international electronic music since it’s humble beginnings. One of dub techno’s best known producers, he was one half of the legendary projects Basic Channel and Maurizio. Basic Channel and Maurizio records are characterized by a 4×4 beats with dub-inflected syncopated synth pads slowly modulated over time, and his work with Mark Ernestus as Rhythm & Sound fused his interests in dub reggae and techno, where Jamaican vocalists sing or speak over stripped down techno beats and bass. In 2013 Moritz von Oswald joined with another Tresor legend Juan Atkins for their collaborative release “Borderland”. Anna Haleta needs no introduction in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. She is running successfully her own event (Pacotek*) for 14 years which was the 1st promoter to bring in many great DJs for the 1st time to Israel. Anna is a real pioneer in the scene there and has also garnered fans in venues across Europe as well. Known for her exceptional records selection and intuitive balancing on the line between genres, Anna Haleta turns her sets into trippy sophisticated illusion. That’s her signature style. Her main tool is magic and that’s how she has witched the local scene into her religion, where house, techno and electro are the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Berlin-based Axiom started playing electronic music in the mid 90s. Around the 00’s, experimental sounds became the gravitational point of his musical interests. In 2006 he launched with HURON the Creative Commons based netlabel CRAZY LANGUAGE for contemporary electronic music such as Ambient, IDM, Electronica, Glitch, Experimental etc. which accumulated 50 releases so far, also audio/visual releases are to find there. Besides all that, Axiom was working at KILLEKILL Berlin for 7 years, to run parties and the Krake Festival, especially on the genres he grew to love. And VCO joins on the decks, a regular @ the Same Bitches events that nightcrawl in the very underground Ohm space, found in the Tresor Club complex.
