Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Semantica is a Techno/IDM label owned by frequent Tresor Club guest Svreca, founded in 2006. With a roster that is a virtual treasure chest of artists on the label, it has quickly become a distinguished label internationally. In 2016 Svreca – known for his sophisticated Electro cuts, more than just occasionally crossing the borders towards Ambient and IDM – celebrated a series of ten releases the label’s 10th anniversary. There is always air in Netherlands artist Albert van Abbe’s productions; infinite skies, passing clouds, thin vapour rising from open fields… visions of mountain tops or endless tree crowns half covered in mist. Besides performing, producing music and DJing, Albert van Abbe also currently operates two record labels, No Comment and VANABBE. He has also released music on FIGURE Jams, Semantica, Deep Sound Channel, Trolldans, ESHU & Curle. As one of the hinges of the 90’s rave generation, Italian DJ and Sonic Groove artist Max Durante’s sound and his presence have been fundamental for the early Italian Techno scene. Well respected as a DJ, thanks to his great mixing abilities, as well as a producer for his precious creativity in his recording productions, Max Durante is a true innovator of dark, industrial techno. Valentino Mora has evolved radically, tracing the contours to an intrinsically more inward-directed body of work under his real name, as opposed to the once full-out bouncy body music he accustomed us to in the past. In the wake of a stunning first offering last year, the brilliant ‘Body Nostalgia’ EP released via Valentino and ASE co-founder Matthieu Amila’s newly formed label IDO (International Dance Organization), and ahead of the release of his second delivery ‘Ash Walk’ in a few days, we welcome Valentino to the Tresor Floor decks tonight. In Globus: Founded in 1994 as a reaction to DBX, Basic Channel, Rob Hood, Sähkö and Drexciya, Ectomorph released their first singles in 1995 as an attempt to make Detroit music for Detroit itself, not exclusively for export. The mystique of their early singles led to mythic status and a strong underground cult following, which they have continued to develop through releases on their own Interdimensional Transmissions label as well as remixes on many high profile labels. Now the Ectomorph show is all analog, no computers or samplers or even drum machines, all the sounds come from the modulars and the mountains of Moogs. The recently reconvened Ectomorph have an album due soon on Interdimensional Transmissions. They have contributions on the Funkadelic: Reworked by Detroiters (Curated by member BMG), as well as to the Dekmantel 10 Year and the forthcoming The Bunker NY 15 Year compilations. Brendan Gillen aka BMG is founder of Ectomorph, Interdimensional Transmissions, and the No Way Back parties, musician and DJ, as well as co host of the biweekly Interdimensional Transmissions Radio show on Red Bull Radio. BMG’s sets effortlessly combine a multitude of seemingly disparate genres into a solid sound system sensation – pure transcendent psychedelic wizardry, a polymath or sonic alchemist or something. Returning artist Doc Sleep cut her chops as a DJ in San Francisco’s vibrant scene the past decade, before making a move to Berlin in 2016. Since 2013, she’s been the co-owner of Jacktone Records, which specializes in techno, ambient, leftfield and experimental electronics. Doc Sleep broadcasts on cult favorite, Intergalactic FM, for several years and in 2016 and 2017 released her first two 12’s on the Hot Mass-affiliated Detour Records and Bottom Forty, with many more tracks and remixes on various distinguished labels, and continues to tour internationally.
