Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Returning artist Luke Hess remains a shining star out of Detroit. He has celebrated EPs out on Omar S’ FXHE, Carl Craig’s Planet-e, Echocord and many more. His Detroit label DeepLabs has been the center for his own deeply personal projects. With over 15 years of DJ experience and many notable live sets across the world, Luke is regarded as a perfectionist on stage. Hess is known to layer his sets in a very detailed, hypnotic, & soulful manner. Taking cues from 90s era leftfield electronics, warehouse techno, the pioneers of early lab recordings and minimal film scores, Cosmin TRG has created his own brand of modern, textural sonics in a contemporary context. His flair for abstract, low-end drum section methodology and a natural propensity for sculpting arresting soundscapes out of contrasting aural signifiers have earned him a solid reputation with audiences, peers and critics worldwide. Touring internationally, Cosmin TRG’s relentlessly hypnotic and seductive approach of the House and Techno canon has landed him regular slots on platforms like Boiler Room and podcasts for Resident Advisor, XLR8R, Fact Mag or CLR among others. Dutch artist Reynier Hooft van Huijsduijnen is Deniro, producer, DJ and co-founder of Tape Records in Amsterdam. His terrific set in the basement last year is not easily forgotten. He is represented by Voyage Direct, a record label established to represent the wealth of electronic music talent coming out of the Netherlands, and also is associated with Berlin label Trip. In Globus: spearheads of the UK Acid House revival, the duo Posthuman are residents & bosses at long-running clubnight & vinyl-only label “I Love Acid”. They have run well over a hundred parties since 2007 across the UK & Europe – with current regular residencies in London and Manchester. They also host the monthly I Love Acid radio show, and review column “Acid House Corner”. Releasing on a handful of international labels, Posthuman‘s shows are a often mix of live hardware jams spliced with acid house & DJ edits. Together with Eris Drew, Sevron, and Sold, Chicago artist Justin Aulis Long is a founding member of the Dada influenced Hugo Ball gatherings that take place at Chicago’s Smartbar, and is currently in its 6th year. When not behind the turntables, Justin collaborates with Ken Zawacki, in the punk techno outfit Circling Vultures, which has recently released on L.I.E.S., Secret Studio, and Contort Yourself. Nicola Kazimir is a part of the collective Les Points based in Zürich, Switzerland. His art/music draws from 90’s rave utopias, decentralized & dividual thought, institutional-critique, occultism, progressive & accessible frameworks as showcased at their offspace Mikro. His recordlabels “Les Points” and the newly founded “Gentrified Underground” appropriate those ideas and transfer them to the distribution channels of electronic music. Nicola refuses genre-stigmas and explores a vast number of genres in his DJ sets and productions – his newest LP “Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles” being a partly example of that diversity. Born in Berlin, artist Ron Wilson started out with his event & podcast series Tanzmichmal over a decade ago and is now busy with his own record label 777 Recordings, earning him underground credibility around the globe. With his residency at Tresor and hosting his own clubnight bookings at Globus, Ron Wilson counts among Berlin’s most prolific electronic music DJs, playing diverse styles ranging from techno to acid to house and electro.
