Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Tresor Records, the label affiliated to the eponymous club, veritable nerve center of Berlin’s expressive sub-cultural movement, celebrates its 27th anniversary. The explosive musical programme to celebrate the occasion brings together legacy artists that have cemented the foundations of the label’s catalogue, with producers that have joined the fold over recent years. Longtime Tresor artist Regis released on Tresor Records under his alias Karl O’Connor. “Against Nature” with fellow artist terrorist Peter Sutton (Female) in 2000 was a a maverick stroke (Tresor.147) at the turn of the millenium. Regis has a greater mythology surrounding the influential Downwards label that he has run with Peter since 1993. Inigo Kennedy is a pioneering and respected techno and electronic music producer and DJ from the UK. He is well known for always bringing technical and creative originality and skill to his work. Owner of the innovative and genre defying label Asymmetric, Inigo Kennedy has also been responsible for a large and diverse back catalog of releases on a wide variety of labels and projects around the world. Another re-welcome for Marcos Leiras aka Leiras, a persistent DJ, producer and live performer settled in Berlin. After releasing music under several aliases and different labels around the world, he plays now as Leiras and created the Ownlife platform, a new project, focused on the mental and hypnotic side of techno. resor resident Mischa is a product of shifting technological landscapes. Nurtured by computerized machine music through radio waves from the hardcore continuum, he has developed a distinctly futurist vision for uncompromising techno music. Born in Berlin, Mischa inevitably found the legendary Hard Wax as a main educator in taste, and has worked there since 2010. In Globus: Blake Baxter is a Detroit native with a reputation for steamie, deep, whispering music productions. Born in the soul and techno mecca Detroit, Blake grew through the ranks of the emerging electronic music scene, via infamous labels such as Kevin Saunderson’s KMS, Detroit’s legendary UR and eventually our own Tresor Records. On the Tresor label, Blake started producing in a more tech house style in the series Dream Sequence, more of a DJ sound tool and blueprint for future tech house projects, such as on the Disko B label (Our Luv) and the Ghetto Brothers group project collaboration, which eventually lead to the major label projects on Logic Records UK and RCA in the States. Blake Baxter’s unmistakable sound and recognizable style is undoubtedly a true contributor to the 1st wave sound of techno coming from Detroit and an essential part of the electronic movement sound evolution. After more than two decades Pacou has continued to express himself as a powerful and highly influential architect of the genre, releasing timeless albums on the Tresor label as well as his own Caché imprint. Never compromising, always genuine and creative within the expanse of the genre, Pacou is a Berlin techno veteran who keeps it real and the experience is terrific. Tonight the Tresor chameleon promises a unique house set in Globus – more reason to not miss this excellent night.
