Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Frankie Bones was the original and first DJ coming out of the Brooklyn Underground during the mid 80’s with the vision of what was yet to come on the global front of Electronic Dance Music culture. His early mission came in the many releases of Fourth Floor Records and Nugroove Records. Subsequently he teamed up with Adam X in running the first all-techno record shop in America ‘Groove Records (later named ‘Sonic Groove Records’). In a time when timing meant everything, the buzz of his early works caught the attention of the rapidly growing scenesters in the London Orbital M25 raves during the Summer Of Love in 1988. The U.K. was very impressed by Frankie‘s unique Brooklyn style which was a raw-freestylish-bass-in-your-bass-bins-but-electro-bass style that was raw enough to keep the entire scene and industry at bay, and eventually he ventured to the continent touring successfully all over Europe. Frequent guest and now Berlin-based Derek Plaslaiko quietly paid his dues on Detroit’s rave circuit from his nearby hometown, and quickly earned a reputation for forward thinking DJ sets that were clinical, sophisticated and extremely sensual. This combination resulted in a residency for Family, the weekly party at Detroit’s legendary Motor. Some will know Derek Plaslaiko as a favorite of the mid-90s Detroit warehouse scene, which lead to a personal invite from Carl Craig to appear at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000. His near decade-long residency at New York’s Bunker parties garnered him “Best Techno Party DJ” by the Village Voice in 2006. Support is brought with gusto by our excellent Tresor Club resident Magda El Bayoumi. Downstairs in Tresor: On the Tresor Floor: we welcome back Sleeparchive for another intense live set. One of the most innovative artists in modern techno, Sleeparchive is a sort of post-90s electronic deity with a penchant for the future. Joining the Tresor label in 2011 with “Ronan Point” (Tresor.243) and on to “A Man Dies On The Street” Pts. 1 & 2 (Tresor.260/264), Sleeparchive’s music is just as hazy, deep and full of shady nuances that, like treasure, only appear if you’re willing to keep probing. In 1996 Bill Youngman’s “Electrostep” EP dropped a bomb on the international techno scene, and his ensuing releases on Tresor Records, as well as his incredible high-energy live performances, created blissful havoc in the dungeon. Tonight he brings his techno dynamite to the Tresor decks once again – not to be missed. After more than two decades Pacou has continued to express himself as a powerful and highly influential architect of the genre, releasing timeless albums on the Tresor label as well as his own Caché imprint. Never compromising, always genuine and creative within the expanse of the genre, Pacou is a Berlin techno veteran who keeps it real and the experience is terrific. Spanish DJ Hurtado recorded with the Mexican label B55 his first EP, entitled “Trinian”, and earlier December 2015, his second EP came out on the label “Brood Audio” from Los Angeles with the tittle “1995”. As for now, Hurtado is working on new music in preparation for his Live (PA) and delivers his own vision of Techno through DJ gigs he is playing around the world. Debuting on our new faces night last November, we welcome him back for another set tonight.
