Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Blake Baxter is a Detroit native with a reputation for steamie, deep, whispering music productions. Born in the Soul and Techno Mecca Detroit Michigan USA, Blake grew through the ranks of the emerging electronic music scene, via infamous labels such as Kevin Saunderson’s KMS, Detroit’s legendary UR and eventually our own Tresor Records. On the Tresor label, Blake started producing in a more tech house style (like One More Time and Brothers Gonna Work it Out) calling the series Dream Sequence, more of a DJ sound tool and blueprint for future tech house projects such as on the Disko B label (Our Luv) and the Ghetto Brothers group project collaboration, which eventually lead to the major label projects on Logic Records UK and RCA in the States. Blake Baxter’s unmistakable sound and recognizable style is undoubtedly a true contributor to the 1st wave sound of techno coming from Detroit and a big part of the electronic movement sound evolution. Tonight the Detroit legend will select behind the +4Bar decks ALL NIGHT LONG!! In Globus: Albert aka El Señor Matanza is from Mannheim, spinning techno – somber, impulsive and multifaceted. A musical journey, all night long. Albert has been a regular member of the Mannheim Disco Zwei team for 5 years and knows exactly how to get the most out of the club’s sound installation. Stefan Kuipers aka Stefan Vincent is from the Netherlands, Amsterdam to be exact, and is a young DJ with definite talent and underground appeal. For everyone who has heard of Stefan Vincent and his music before, it’s no secret that he favors the use of melody and melancholy to bring purport to his tracks and The Spaces Between Time EP on Dynamic Reflection’s 37th vinyl is no exception. While peculiar parts of sound design do their job by keeping things in motion at all times, lush pads find their counterpart in the familiar sounds of vintage drum machines that lay the foundation of these contemporary pieces of techno. Our propulsive resident techno DJ Esther Duijn welcomes these two new faces, and offers an excellent set herself.
