Maverick electronic music pioneer Daniel Bell is back with some exclusive dates featuring classic DBX material as well as some later productions from Daniel Bell. DBX features a hardware intensive set-up using most of the original equipment heard on these now classic recordings. It’s an opportunity for a new generation of club goers and music enthusiasts to experience the sounds of DBX in a way they haven’t before. Back in 1993, Bell had formed his “mother label” Accelerate, which concentrated on DBX’s stripped-back hybrid of hard-wired house and metallic technoid clanging, as well as 7th City, a more stylistically open platform for his and label partner Claude Young’s various electronic experiments. But it was in 1994 that Bell’s amalgamation of Chicago grooves, Detroit abstraction and European robotics really found its stride, in the form of DBX’s stone-cold classic, ‘Losing Control’. Franco Cinelli is one of the most well known techno DJ/Producer in Argentina. In 1995, inspired by the sounds of Detroit, he made his very first tracks. As the years were going thru, Cinelli was gaining experience, and became a key player in the argentine scene. His DJ sets are an harmonic blend between different styles rounded by a flawless mixing technique. In Argentina, he played in almost every important club around. Also forming a terrific live show, Franco has become known is many important European venues as well. Tresor Club resident Handmade‘s DJing is perfectly tuned to the Globus Floor’s wavelength: oscillating between house and techno styles, the dancing crowd in a firm grip, driven to fill the dancefloor. An integral part of the Tresor resident team since 2009, Handmade earned his stripes in the rocky terrain of the Berlin nightlife. Little by little he developed his pumping original mix of superior and timeless dance styles that have particularly influenced his experience. Handmade’s explosive trademark DJ style: deep and dubby-grounded á la Detroit, with the jacking stabs of Chicago influences and occasional deviations into tougher or soulful soundscapes. On the Tresor Floor: The cohesive array of depth charged devices that Anthony Linell has produced is formidable. From his opening statements as Abdulla Rashim on his early label of the same name, right through to his recent work that puts his aliases aside, there is a robust and rigorous intent that compounds the elemental strategies of techno’s models to apprehend his singular vision. Presiding over Stockholm’s Northern Electronics label with Varg (Jonas Rönnberg), Linell dispenses with mechanisms of attention on all fronts. Purposively ricocheting between the techno world and experimental electronic music, Linell forges a distinct passage that gathers the aesthetically uncompromising motifs and missions from across this spectrum. It’s this combination and resolve that’s brought Linell to the world’s attention, however little that attention has been solicited. UK artist Ben Thomas is BNJMN has taken his creative sets to some of the top clubs internationally, released on labels such as Delsin Brack, Rush Hour and more, and now our own label with last year’s release of his 12” “Body Reflections”. The 4 tracks “Overskies”, “Enceladus”, “Hadal Zone” and “Syzygy” introduce this unique artist’s symmetry to Tresor Records and BNJMN celebrated with a release party February ‘17. Spanish DJ Antonio Vázquez, who debuted in Tresor on a New Faces night, is a producer and remixer based in Berlin, Germany. Antonio learned his art as a DJ in Madrid in the 2000s. After moving to Berlin in 2011, he began focusing his energy on producing and mixing deep techno, while never losing his eclectic edge. Antonio Vázquez has released on such forward-thinking labels as Shaded Explorations, Hypnus Records, and Semantica, while taking up bookings at clubs in top Berlin underground venues.
