Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Markus Suckut dislikes categories but own productions are best described plainly and simply with the word techno, techno which often and willingly becomes dub. His sets are wide reaching, and even if they have a common basis it’s difficult to describe what exactly they have in common. To play in his own style, leading the crowd and casting a spell over it, delighting listeners with records selections that go beyond the remit of any kind of DJ charts, this is Markus Suckut’s world. Hans Bouffmyhre is the founder of Sleaze Records that has grown into one of the most respected techno labels in the world. He has also released music on some of the world’s most esteemed techno labels like Soma Records, Electric Deluxe, Perc Trax and others. His Secluded moniker productions of deep pounding beats, dubby synth passages and deep soundscapes are another part of this maverick’s profile. This young artist already carries so much experience as a DJ, producer & label manager – the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre and we welcome him back to the Tresor decks. Nihad Tule is a DJ and producer born in Mostar, Bosnia-Hercegovina, now based in Stockholm, Sweden. Founder of techno label Sloboda, Nihad also releases/released on labels souch as Random Island and Drumcode LTD, and is one half of the live act and production duo NTTA11. His music is often stripped down to the very basics, seemingly simplistic at first, later revealing layers of complexity that truly witness his dedication to the craft. Behind the decks, Nihad Tule’s multifaceted selection combined with his unique ability to build suspense has led him to become a returning figure at some of the world’s finest techno clubs. After bursting out onto the scene with three stellar EPs for Len Faki’s Figure in 2016, UBX127 is one of Sweden’s best kept secrets. Listening to the finely tuned synth-work that permeates most of his deep and dubbed out techno excursions, it becomes clear that UBX127 is not a new player to the game. Following a newfound creative spur while drawing inspiration within the confinements of hardware and instruments, UBX127 now is all about delving deeper into a personal exploration of what techno actually means. Distilling its pure, unadulterated essence and finding the perfect groove. In Globus: Johannes Volk is a producer, DJ and also label owner of Exploration Records, and whose sets combine an open minded, raw and hypnotic techno sound. His first record was released on none other than Jeff Mills’s Axis Records in 2006, followed by a series of vinyl releases on other labels including Patrice Scott’s Sistrum and Steffi’s Dolly imprint. As a DJ, Johannes’s depth of knowledge and ear for a groove is rivaled by few, and tonight we welcome his terrific live set. Marc Schneider is an influential DJ and producer from Hamburg who has never missed any major development or pivotal release in quality dance music. Marc Schneider can flex is DJ muscles in so many different ways and sensibly guide the crowd through a tasteful and kicking mixture of all things house and techno. Lily Ackerman is a classical pianist, electronic music producer, and vinyl DJ based in San Francisco. Her penchant for melodic, groove-focused deep house and techno is reflected in her meticulously crafted dj mixes and productions. She is a co-founder of the Diacritic Collective, a tight-knit group of friends who share the same passion for music – making it, digging for it, and sharing it with others, especially vinyl. Lily Ackerman’s EP’s and remixes have been released on San Francisco based labels Mioli Music and Friends with Benefits Records, and she has an upcoming release on Perfect Location Records. Handmade‘s DJing is perfectly tuned to the Globus Floor’s wavelength: oscillating between house and techno styles, the dancing crowd in a firm grip, driven to fill the dancefloor. An integral part of the Tresor resident team since 2009, Handmade earned his stripes in the rocky terrain of the Berlin nightlife. Little by little he developed his pumping original mix of superior and timeless dance styles that have particularly influenced his experience. Handmade’s explosive trademark DJ style: deep and dubby-grounded á la Detroit, with the jacking stabs of Chicago influences and occasional deviations into tougher or soulful soundscapes.
