Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Despite releasing only a small handful of records since his eponymous white-label debut in 2011, Objekt has quickly become one of the most consistently lauded producers of recent years. The Berlin-based DJ and producer has garnered an enviable reputation for attention to detail, evocative arrangements and inventive, effervescent sound design, coaxing sonic features from the most unlikely of places. Flatland, Objekt’s debut album, was released on PAN in 2014 and pushed further into sonic and structural experimentation than his club records were able to, without losing the musicality and physicality that made his singles so compelling. Objekt’s unique style is nowhere better exemplified than in Kern Vol. 3, his highly acclaimed mix CD for our label, released in 2016 and described in a 4.5-star RA review as “a window into the very essence of DJing”. Arthur Cayzer is Pariah, the pseudonym of the 24-year-old London-based producer whose series of releases on legendary Belgian label R&S has established him as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the UK in recent years. Together with close friend Jamie Roberts (Blawan) he formed the production duo of Karenn at the end of 2011. Specialising in dense slabs of heavy, mutating techno tracks for the floor, this gruesome twosome have become the leading lights of UK techno’s resurgence. With other prolific projects catapulting this talent, Pariah enjoys a hectic DJ schedule that takes in clubs and festivals across the world with no let up anticipated anytime soon. Len Ander Som is a Rotterdam-based underground dance music DJ, recording music since 2012 under alias Lenson, and responsible for Paling Trax since 2015. Playing a broad mixture of Chicago House and Detroit Techno with lots of raw acid 90’s cuts and adding EBM, Wave, Electro and Industrial excursions, his vision definitely doesn’t have a linear perspective in his DJ sets. As a vinyl purist, gear scientist and general purveyor of all forms of hardware, Lenson is ready to shake some dancefloors all over, watch out. In Globus: Alexander Dorn aka Credit 00 operates Rat Life Records, makes music with synthesizers and drum machines and throws records in the mix. Centered in the Leipzig area of Germany, he’s inspired by cannibal movies, number theory and birds. Still, his music is not easy to pigeonhole. After all, he loves Synth Wave, Electro, Afro, Kraut, Kosmische, Disco, Italo, Miami Bass and other Proto stuff – a lot of machine music. “Wave Memory” and “Eiserne Lunge”, his first tracks for Uncanny Valley, are good examples for this unpredictability. In 2017 Credit 00 finally delivered his acclaimed debut album “Game Over”. Rat Life has become one of the most valued record labels when it comes to dirty and challenging club entertainment. Born in Berlin, artist Ron Wilson started out with his event & podcast series Tanzmichmal over a decade ago and is now busy with his own record label 777 Recordings, earning him underground credibility around the globe. David Vunk owner of Moustache Records, DJ and producer for a handful of other labels. David Vunk is the true beast of the harbour city and on this fine imprint he drops his own ace tracks and collabs beside a wicked list of West-Coast honchos and synth freaks. Known for his wide collection and graceful skills he’s been rocking records since the early 90’s all over Europe. Romanian artist Alexa Chirnoagă aka Aleksa Alaska began recording and uploading mixes two years ago and one year later opened for Veronica Vasicka at a queer party in Bucharest. Her thoroughly refined sound is elegant yet austere, delicate yet dark, draining yet satisfying. The Bucharest-based DJ has been gaining recognition for her abilities with regular shows on NTS and Rinse FM, as well as a schedule of upcoming gigs around Europe. With his new residency at Tresor and hosting his own club night bookings at Globus, Ron Wilson counts among Berlin’s most prolific electronic music DJs, playing diverse styles ranging from techno to acid to house and electro.
