Romanian artist Laurentiu Gavrila aka Funk-E’s future really began to take shape in 2008 when he secured a residency at the most musically forward-thinking party in Ibiza, The Zoo Project, where he played week in and week out every summer to thousands of party-goers. A respected producer as well as DJ, Funk E likes to keep things simple when it comes to music. He quite simply loves what he does and is inspired the most by the people around him. He has a raw passion and dedication for his craft, and has garnered respect from some of the biggest names in House and Techno. Get Perlonized, hosted and curated by Sammy Dee, is one of the most prestigious club events Europe-wide. It has a certain illuminating power up it’s sleeve, that can not be gained by promotional exuberance or by worshipping at the altar of capital return; but with musical consistency – keywords that encompass and define everything the Berlin born artist does. Sammy Dee is one half of the House project Pantytec who released their debut album “Pony Slaystation” in 2002 and toured around the world twice. Thanks to his splendid DJ skills he is resident in famous clubs such as E-Werk, Robert Johnson, Ostgut or Tresor. Foehn & Jerome started their partnership in 2011 in Vienna as hosts of the legendary ‘Café Sturz’ at the well-established Grelle forelle. In Berlin, the Austrian Duo co-founded the creative collaboration Untitled 100 with Argenis Brito and Thomas Grün in 2012. Foehn & Jerome are best known for their sets incorporating hidden treasures of rough and percussive house music into the ease of cutting-edge analogue elements that they record over endless night sessions in their studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. Vendi is a self-taught artist and multi-instrumentalist. After having this first relationship with electronic music, Vendi moved to Berlin, a city where he found his place playing records for the last decade in several of the capital’s clubs, as well as touring internationally. As a musician, he also explores different types of music under the “Blacksketch” nickname, with several albums released on bandcamp like soundtracks, ambient, post rock alternative. For the past year 3 years, Vendi has released on several distinguished labels and he has already signed with very reputable underground labels for new releases in 2018, plus his own imprint label, Black Sketch Records, which will launch this summer. Downstairs in Tresor: Zadig is the founder of Construct Re-Form, a label on a human scale which was initially created to release his own productions – significant success had given him a solid basis to develop his own label. Construct Re-Form almost immediately welcomes 3 talented DJs known as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Zadig then becomes an astute label manager who provides technical advice and, perhaps most importantly, human support to his three protégés. Always the innovator and a maverick behind the decks, it’s a terrific experience. Returning Russian artist Alexander Matlakhov is Unbalance, a young artist who debuted in 2008 with his distinct symbiosis of strong emotions and industrial themes, which are eclectic and conjoin with technically accurate treatments in music story making. Unbalance endeavors to combine the whole of techno ages, gives his due to classic techno, gets inspiration in futuristic sound and mixing it with a modern techno wave, which is what he is. His style of performing is so close to his own works and it creates unique atmosphere on international dance floors. A solid support set comes from our excellent resident Marcus, whose DJ sets are characterized by raw and dirty groove, industrial sounds and with a strong energy impact to the floor and the people, knowing exactly what they want as a DJ coming from the dancefloor; as well as from HGR, known for his versatile sets and agility to move between moods.
