Ukrainian artist Yan Cook has performed alongside many of the most respected techno talents from around the globe and collaborated with a number of people in the past, as well as working under different aliases. With a string of releases under his belt on some highly respected labels, Yan Cook is now focusing on his own fully distinguished style which is immediately recognizable from the first seconds of a track, or in his live set: heavy and sometimes smooth dancefloor techno with haunting atmospheres and striking basslines. The Madrid-born Svreca combines the coolest and most sophisticated electronica with the most abstract and complex techno, and sometimes his experimentation leads him towards the most unusual textures and rhythms for the dancefloor. Having delivered a terrific set in Tredsor last February, fans will also remember well the 10 year celebration of his Barcelona-based, cutting-edge label Semantica Records. Adriana Lopez: Colombia-born, Barcelona-based DJ, producer, label owner and sound technician whose career date back to the late 1990s, she is one of the most prominent South American techno artists on the international scene. Adriana Lopez has been busy developing her focused style behind the decks and releasing her material for Developer’s Modularz label and her own label, Grey Report, that she runs from Barcelona. Adriana‘s DJ sets flow effortlessly through techno’s landscape focusing their power on rhythm and energy never forgetting hints of melodies and a fair share of dynamics. With a solid support set from resident DJ and Tresor Records artist J.C., this will be an excellent basement night. In Globus: DeepChord was originally a partnership of Rod Modell and Mike Schommer, but later became a solo project of Rod Modell. The sounds at work are predominantly those associated with dub-techno: dubby beats, crisp static, synthetic analogue grooves, and deep chords – think Basic Channel. No stranger to Tresor, we welcome back DeepChord to the decks tonight. Chris Mitchell is a DJ, producer, and co-owner of Vanguard Sound and Anunnaki Cartel. His releases span a variety of labels such as Sistrum, Plan B Recordings, Proper Traxx, and Argumento as well as his own imprints. Chris’ emphasis in sound ranges from futuristic, soulful, to raw and gritty. Teaming up with long time friend and associate Amir Alexander, Chris launched the Vanguard Sound and Anunnaki Cartel labels in order to remain uncompromising in his artistic vision. The pair have had several successful releases from themselves and artists including DJ Spider, Hakim Murphy, Dakini 9 and Joey Anderson. Eric Cloutier has established himself as an influential underground figure purely off the back of his DJ sets. Known to be able to tease and control crowds for extended periods of time without resorting to cheap thrills or lowest common denominator kicks, since first emerging in 1996 the acclaimed native Detroiter has been a resident at some of the most knowing venues around the world. House, dub and techno are all fair game for Cloutier, and be they deep and driving tracks or harder hitting selections, every one bridges the gap between the old and the new in seamless and unpredictable ways.
