Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
One of the most prominent and outstanding techno craftsmen of our generation returns to his roots with Paradygm Shift; the first Robert Hood album to be released since 2012 on Dekmantel Records. The LP serves as a milestone for the Dutch imprint as it marks their 50th release. Paradygm Shift is the return to the distinguished style that defined Hood’s music in the early 90s, and is the culmination of a three EP series. It is the older and more mature brother to his classic Minimal Nathion, highlighting his more evolved, technical craftsmanship. Since DJing for the Dekmantel crew in 2010, Hood has been a regular fixture ever since. His new record is the perfect marriage, cementing the Detroit-Dutch relationship further. Overall, Paradym Shift is an album of delicately orchestrated techno that is quintessentially minimal in focus, and grandiose in sound, juxtaposed with electronic funk, wrapped up in blisteringly urgent, and honest, pulsating techno. Joining Mr. Hood on the decks is the eclectic, technically-skilled Berlin DJ Janina, who is currently playing twice a month as a resident of Monasterio Club in Moscow; and Deeply Rooted artist Insolate from Zagreb, formerly known as Miss Sunshine, she is a DJ, producer, label owner and a promoter in business for 20 years now and considered as one of the best techno artist from Croatia. Upstairs in Globus, frequent guest Patrice Scott is one of Detroit’s top producers of deep house and techno music and a frequent guest in our home. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. Over the years Patrice Scott has focused more and more on his studio production skills and his label Sistrum, which celebrated it’s 10th anniversary in 2016. Jose Cabrera aka J.C. from Spain, debuting in Tresor on one of the Echoes nights, expresses a style of simple, raw, stripped down and hypnotic techno. After several other innovative releases, J.C. joined the Tresor label family with his different blends in subtle electronics. And returning artist Cecilio Verde is a self-described soulman and co-founder of Slow Life, a multidisciplinary hispano-italian project built on a commitment which is beyond fashion: vinyl as weapon of mass dissemination of their musical works, mainly influenced by the Detroit sounds and Afro rhythms.
