Foreign Beggars are a critically acclaimed Rap, Grime and Dubstep group based in London, UK.
The group consists of MCs Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis, producer Dag Nabbit and DJ Nonames. Foreign Beggars are renowned for their eclectic and energetic live shows. Currently performing well over a hundred shows a year the group have performed with a number of high profile artists spanning a range of musical genres. Foreign Beggars release their records through Dented Records; a label that is owned by the group and was created to support their own material and a host of UK underground artists.
Today the group line up on stage as Orifice Vulgatron, Metropolis and DJ Nonames often with UK Beatbox Champion MC Zani or THePETEBOX. Guest appearances from long time collaborators of the group and Dented recording artists Kyza and Dr Syntax have also become a regular occurrence. Averaging well over 100 shows per year, ?Foreign Beggars? are one of the most prolific and versatile outfits to emerge from the UK. 2009/2010 has seen a marked change in the group?s status emerging from the UK underground, onto the international music scene. Following the release of ?United Colours of Beggattron? the band were invited to join The Prodigy?s UK Tour leading to a host of European Festival appearances in the summer of 2010 including a Main stage performance at Exit Festival, Glastonbury, Splash Festival, Dour Festival, Sziget Festival, Gilles Peterson?s Worldwide Festival in France and a legendary performance at Hip Hop Kemp in the Czech Rep. Foreign Beggars have toured extensively for the past seven years, including most of mainland Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, Dubai and even on Karlsoye Island in the Arctic Circle! They have supported artists such as The Prodigy, Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, K?naan, Femi Kuti, Pendulum, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clan, De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Masta Ace, Herbalizer, Roots Manuva, Kano and many more. Foreign Beggars are currently working on studio projects with Alix Perez for a forthcoming album project on ?Shogun Audio?, developing collaborations with a number of high profile dubstep artists for releases on independent UK label, ?Never Say Die Records? as well as recording more music with Dutch drum and bass legends, Noisia.
