Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Chicago meets Detroit, Prince of Hip House meets Prince of Techno, TYREE COOPER meets BLAKE BAXTER!

JACK IS IN THE HOUSE!

In der Lounge gibt es live dub jams von den Jungs vom DOCK label:
FENIN, GUNNAR HEMMERLING und ANTISTATIC.

INFO TYREE COOPER:

While growing up on the streets of Chicago?s south side, TYREE COOPER would often sneak and listen to his mother?s old vinyl dusties. Impassioned by the old R&B soul groups of the 60s, Tyree joined his grammar school band at age 13 and played the flute. His other passion at that time was playing basketball. Both passions followed him to high school where he met MIKE DUNN and learned how to DJ. Listening to FARLEY JACKMASTER FUNK, the Hot Mix 5, RONNY HARDY, and the electrifying energies of FRANKIE KNUCKLES, Tyree was well schooled at an early age.
Eventually Tyree?s basketball skills awarded him a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Stout where these burgeoning mixing skills were fine tuned. Two years after college Tyree was the hottest DJ in Chicago. Tyree met VINCE LAWRENCE of ?Jesse?s Gang?, who persuaded him to prepare a demo tape of his music to start his career as a recording artist. It was just a matter of time after that Tyree signed his contract with DJ International Records, 1986. His first release ?I Fear the Night? instantly became a Chicago underground classics. Other subsequent hits include: ?Turn Up the Bass?, ?Let?s Get Hype?, ?Let the Music Take Control? and ?Hardcore Hip-House?.
He defined the hip-house phenomenon in 1989 with "Turn Up the Bass," which instantly caused a stir in the hip-hop community, but TYREE COOPER proved to be an excellent producer throughout house music's first decade, from the mid-'80s to the mid-'90s. Remixing highlights and hits include: ?Yo! Yo! Get Funky? ? Fast Eddie, ?Let?s Go? ? Fast Eddie, ?It?s Alright? ? PET SHOP BOYS and ?In the Mix? ? Mixmaster which was featured in Madonna?s ?Truth or Dare?-Movie, ?Lose My Breath? ? Destiny?s Child, ?Ich vermiss die Zeit? ? Hans Nieswandt, ?Bust a Move? ? Young MC. But his passion still remains divided equally between producing and djing. Now that he is based in Berlin he is enjoying the rich cultural and creative atmosphere. still spanning the globe - having a residency at Hamburg?s China Lounge - spreading his love for the music?
