Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
To produce Dubstep you need primarily a computer and a decent sound system. A good subwoofer, an extra MIDI controller and a bit of other electronic gear can be useful as well. Dubstep is a solely electronically generated music genre that?s exactly what it sounds like... WRONG!
Youtube and similiar sources show you only one of many facettes of the musical spectrum that is Dubstep. By now there are many bands and liveacts in Germany bringing you very organic, strong Dubstep sounds on stage with the use of drums, trumpet, bass guitar and other instruments. Some of these we want to present to you on 10.12.2010 at MIKZ club in Berlin to celebrate the third birthday of DUBSTEP.DE, the first online board about Dubstep music in Germany.
For this purpose we will have a purely LIVE stage! For example, you will hear the incredible sounds of FINEFILTER with singer Susi Koch - they began combining drum sets with didgeridoo in Rostock, first playing Drum and Bass, and now Dubstep, and have had gigs all over Germany.
Also we present you the Korean-born brothers SYMBIZ, who produce phat drums and deep basslines on self-developed controllers.
And if that's not enough, we have also invited NOIZE CREATOR from Dresden who has toured around the world as live act. In 2007 he was in the U.S. and Japan on the road, then mainly as producer of breakbeat / industrial, he has now added Dubstep and Wonksounds to his musical palette.
You will also be able to hear PETERSILIE from Leipzig's HW-Massive and the Ebs & Sonderskooler of Addictz from Mannheim live.
Of course we haven't just booked bands and liveacts for you on this special evening. There will also be a stage with DJs and we were very particular about inviting DJs to cover all the different sounds of the Dubstep spectrum:
TOBSTA b2b JERSCH2000 from Mannheim and Dr.Kaya from Berlin's In Beat We Trust will offer you deep basslines and big wobble thunderstorms, straight forward! In contrast, ROBOTIC b2b SKRATCH from Paradise Lost / Project Squared and Freak Camp and ROBYN of Bielefeld's Hero Monkeys will bring you cross-genre, techno-related and deeper sounds.
You can also look forward to the sets from INFRA anlongside TOM BATTERY from Dubmarine / Impulse and the fresh DJane fRAN from Dresden.
So as you can see, we have wrapped up and will present to you a huge, especially colorful gift program for our third birthday and look forward to seeing you on the 12.10.2010 at MIKZ!
