SWEET SWEET LOVE - next edition!
Dear friends,
Autumn has arrived and it's getting cold outside again. So we will move closer together and warm our hearts with cuddly house tunes!
As golden as the indian summer is, as golden is friendship. So once again, I decided, I rather invite a bunch of good friends and try to create a nice family vibe, than just go for the big names... quality to the core!
And of course in times, where the big ol' lady rather plays with boring berlin tunes, it might be a perfect option for this special night! ;)
At the ://about blank club there will be 2 lovely indoor floors filled with 8 amazing artists:
"Pawel", who used to name himself "Turner" for example, was one of my early heros in electronic music. He is a part of the "Dial" Clique and that's where he also released his magnificent album self-titled album this year!
"Julius Steinhoff" is basically from the same corner, where he runs his Hamburg-based record store/label "Smallville". Julius is a part of the "Smallpeople" and they managed to release tunes on "Underground Quality" and "Laid" in 2010.
On "Laid" also appeared the "Workshop EP" by "Lowtec" and "Kassem Mosse" recently. "Lowtec" is also one of the main guys behind the beloved "Workshop" label.
Next on the list is "Break SL" who is a part of the Dresden based start-up of the year: "Uncanny Valley"! And he is definetly one of the most interessting young house producers in Germany right now.
And so is also the only liveact... Mr. "Aera"! The former production partner of "Till von Sein" and one half of "Goldwill", personally blew me away with his "whatpeopleplay podcast #29". Give it a good listen!
Ups, I've forgot another great label start-up from 2010: "Italo Johnson"! "Ricardo Esposito" is on of the main guys behind the mysterious stamp label. Amazing DJ aswell!
So let me see, now I end up with my "own" people....:)
Of course there is my DJ buddy "Edward" who has done an amazing record on "Giegling" lately: "A Piece Of Us".
And last but not least there is Mr. "Moomin" who has released a record called "Hardmood/JoeMacdaddy" together with me on "Aim" (ah fuck! another great label debut from 2010!)...
